Program Objectives

In the field of education, there are many changes and transformations with the developments in technology. As the Teacher Academy Foundation (ÖRAV), we have tried to respond to the needs that have emerged especially since the pandemic period with different programs (ÇEDET, YÖZET, ÇAYEDT). The feedback we have received shows that we have offered our teachers important gains in these change and transformation processes.

These recent developments, together with the opportunities offered to us by technology, create very different needs and require much more than adapting to the benefits of technology. In addition to the development of technological competencies, it creates a much more comprehensive need for change and transformation. The name of the technology that creates this need is ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.

Artificial intelligence opens the doors to a great change with its features and competencies. Considering the opportunities it provides, it has the potential to make a difference for teachers and students. However, it also brings the responsibility of adapting to learning and teaching processes in a new and renewed way. However, in addition to its many convenience and efficiency contributions, artificial intelligence also brings some risks within the scope of ethics. In this situation, teachers have the responsibility to manage the processes consciously, taking into account ethical risks while increasing productivity by utilizing the powerful features of artificial intelligence.

Considering the opportunities and threats that artificial intelligence brings to education, we have developed the Education Program for the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Education (EYAZ) to enable teachers to use this paradigm-shifting technology in an effective and qualified manner.

Designed with synchronous and asynchronous content, this training aims to help teachers adapt to the paradigm shift brought about by artificial intelligence, make efficient use of the opportunities it offers, and organize a learning-learning process in which they consider ethics in order to eliminate potential risks.

In summary, this training program focuses on the effective and efficient use of artificial intelligence in education by raising awareness of the changes and transformations brought about by artificial intelligence.

  • Effective scripting in the use of artificial intelligence
  • Artificial intelligence tools for different educational purposes
  • Use of artificial intelligence for different purposes in education 
  • Experience different artificial intelligence tools for education
  • Ethical use of artificial intelligence in education
  • Developing educational products using artificial intelligence
  • Effective and efficient use of artificial intelligence in education

At the same time, participants will be included in the question and share space and will be part of a professional learning community.

Who Can Participate in the Program?

All teachers working in public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education can apply to the program.

Duration and Time Planning of the Program

The duration of the training is six days in total (4 days asynchronous and 2 days synchronous session)

* Synchronous: Synchronous sessions where online attendance is required at the specified time (Synchronous sessions are two hours each on Monday and Thursday).

* Asynchronous: Asynchronous sessions that can be completed at any time depending on the individual within the program process.

Certificate of Participation

Participants who complete the asynchronous content of the program on time and attend all synchronous sessions will be able to access the certificate of attendance digitally.

The training will be held on the Teacher Academy Foundation distance education platform eCampus at https://www.orav.org.tr/ekampus.
